An 'unfiltered'
Sonoma County style Oktoberfest celebration

Saturday, October 21st at SOMO Village

On October 21st SOMO Concerts releases their season finalé of this year’s pop-up festival season: the second annual Fϋnkendänk Oktoberfest Beer and Music Festival. This Sonoma County celebration fuses the unique convergence point of quality Craft Beer and outstanding Live Music. Blending the inviting experiences of HopMonk Tavern Beer Gardens with select brewery offerings curated by Sonoma County craft beverage expert Nickolas 'Fridge' Garson, this is the celebration where the nation's top brewers share their take on funky sours and danky, hop-forward ales. Traditional European lagers, served unfiltered from wooden kegs in the Oktoberfest beer garden will also be offered. All served along four hours of quality national and local music  produced and presented by Second Octave and Notable Talent

The music

As connoisseurs enjoy their tasting adventures of the palate, music fans will delight in the incomparable good-time lineup of national touring acts The Motet, Dragon Smoke and Afrolicious on the main stage as well as local stars Frobeck, The Pulsators and Saffell on the HopMonk stage in the Redwood Grove.

The Beer

The day long event features beer in two styles. Inside you will find the Fϋnkendänk lounge focusing on the rise of untamed sours and hop-dank ales in a full room of 40+ selected breweries with award winning, thematic, unique, and educational tastings chosen by last year’s Fϋnkendänk host and local craft beverage expert Fridge Garson.

Outside, HopMonk presents the enchanting redwood grove Biergarten with a contemporary take on traditional Oktoberfest beers. The Biergarten in the redwood grove will provide the perfect setting for the enjoyment of classic and modern Oktoberfest beers as Dean Biersch of Hopmonk, Twin Oaks Roadhouse and Gordon-Biersch brings his unfiltered and naturally carbonated Export, Märzen, Hefeweizen and Festbier to ground the off-market and unusual beer Fünkendänk experience with a bit of classic European tradition.
